Applications are now open for a new Postgraduate programme starting this September 2024 in Anatomy for Medical Device Development.
This Postgraduate Certificate in Anatomy for Medical Device Development has been developed in collaboration between the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience at UCC and regional MedTech industry leaders, as part of the iEd hub suite of industry-facing programmes.
The programme is designed to help learners master fluency in anatomical terminology and medical imaging as well as gaining in depth technical knowledge of cardiovascular and neurovascular anatomy and the anatomy of the musculoskeletal system in health and disease.
Students will have access to the state-of-the-art FLAME laboratory at UCC, as well as innovative teaching labs in the iEd hub including 3D printing facilities, and a VR suite. In addition, this course will include hands-on practical experience and embed evidence-based clinical cases related to both diagnosis and device design.
Financial Support: For the upcoming academic year, this programme is 50% grant-funded by the Higher Education Authority’s Human Capital Initiative (HCI). This significant financial support makes these valuable learning opportunities more accessible.
